Smoothie bowls are all the rage right now and it’s easy to see why- they’re healthy, delicious, and downright gorgeous. Smoothies are great for mornings where you’re in a hurry but when you have a little more time, smoothie bowls are the perfect way to treat yourself. You can experiment with all kinds of toppings and flavor blends.
They’re also a great way to get kids to eat a nutritious breakfast. You can sneak in things like flax seeds, protein powder, or greek yogurt. Such a better choice than cereal. My two kids love them. In fact, my fourteen year old daughter is the one that got me hooked on smoothie bowls. Here are a few of our favorites:
1. Raspberry and Cacao Smoothie Bowl

Raspberries make smoothie bowls beautiful… and delicious.
2. Hot Chocolate Smoothie Bowl

I promise this indulgent looking smoothie bowl is totally healthy. Unsweetened cocoa powder and maple syrup combine to create the delicious hot chocolate flavor.
3. Frozen Peanut Butter Superfood Smoothie Bowl
Find the recipe here: Cotter Crunch
I would have never thought to pair berries and peanut butter but it’s delicious.
4. Berry Almond Smoothie Bowl

You can’t go wrong with this one. It’s pretty much my go-to smoothie bowl. The key is using frozen berries and the right amount of almond milk (or coconut) to create a spoonable vs slurpable consistency. I use flax instead of chia, and occasionally add frozen kale.
5. Maple Chai Smoothie Bowl

For this smoothie bowl, you create your own chai spice blend and it is ahhhhmazing.
6. Green Smoothie Bowl

If you’re fortunate enough to live in an area where you can find dragonfruit, you must try it. The flavor is slightly pear-like. This smoothie bowl begs to be photographed and shared on your favorite social media hangout.
7. Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie Bowl

Chocolate + peanut butter is a match made in heaven. Seriously, is there a more perfect flavor combo? I think not. You can use cocoa or cacao powder for this simple smoothie bowl. I prefer cocoa powder, which is packed with flavonols.
8. Blueberry Date Smoothie Bowl

Dates don’t get enough love. They’re packed with nutrition, including fiber and potassium- two nutrients most people could use more of.
9. Dark Chocolate & Toasted Coconut Smoothie Bowl
Source: With Salt & Wit
I’m a coconut lover, through and through. That’s why this smoothie bowl is my favorite. Coconut extract is used in the smoothie base, and toasted coconut is sprinkled on top for a smoothie bowl packed with delicious coconut flavor. I double the amount of toasted coconut… I love it that much.
10. Caramel Apple Crumble Smoothie Bowl
Source: I Love Vegan
This is the perfect smoothie bowl for those crisp fall mornings. I haven’t tried this one yet because I only buy apples from our local orchard in the fall. I’ve never tasted a grocery-bought apple that I like. As soon as my local orchard opens for business, I’m trying this beautiful bowl.
I encourage you to add some of these smoothie bowls to your weekly breakfast menu. They’re easy, beautiful, and nourishing.
